August 25, 2006: Quantum Installs “Digital Radiographic System With TechVision” At Indiana Spine Center
(Ronkonkoma, NY – August 25, 2006) Quantum Medical Imaging has completed installation of its QV800 Universal Digital System with TechVision, a DIGITAL IMAGE PREVIEW technology at the Indiana Spine Center of Lafayette, Indiana.
TechVision actually displays the patient’s PREVIEW IMAGE, within seconds after exposure, providing the technologist with an in-room Accept/Reject decision, right at the tube-head. Consistent with high volume DR workflow, TechVision is also a touch panel operator control that is mounted in the exam room, directly onto the X-ray tube head. It allows the technologist to review and adjust anatomical views and exposure parameters the system is configured to, per modality worklist.
“The TechVision technology pre-configures the X-ray generator and the DR console for the proper exam sequence and exposure parameters, based on the patient registration from the Worklist,” noted Jim Miller, Quantum’s Director of Digital Product Development. “Then, the technologist is able to make any necessary edits to either the exam sequence or the exposure parameters, without having to leave the patient. Once the exposure is acquired, the technologist can quickly return to the patient’s side to reposition for the next view, while simultaneously accepting the preview image and configuring for the next view.”
“Having TechVision integrated into an imaging center’s DR system is just another incremental productivity gain in the digital workflow,” Miller noted. “They have more time to devote to the patient’s care and are also able to move more patients through the examination room.”
The Quantum dealer that oversaw the sale and installation of the equipment was Radiation Services of Indiana, of Greenwood, Indiana.

August 4, 2006: Quantum Installs “Digital Techvision” At Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group
(Ronkonkoma, NY – August 4, 2006) Quantum Medical Imaging has just successfully completed another pair of direct digital system installations, including its innovative TechVision, with DIGITAL IMAGE PREVIEW technology at Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group of Newport News, Virginia.
TechVision is an in-room touch control panel, mounted directly at the X-ray tube control assembly. It displays the anatomical views and exposure parameters configured on the DR per Modality Worklist. TechVision also allows a technologist to override the exam sequence and/or exposure parameters for a modified examination right at the patient’s side. Then, once an exposure is acquired, TechVision displays the actual IMAGE PREVIEW, just as on the DR console, within seconds, to allow the technologist the Accept/Reject decision for vastly improved patient workflow.
“The integrated TechVision technology pre-configures the X-ray generator and the DR console for the proper exam sequence and exposure parameters, based on the patient registration from the Worklist,” noted Jim Miller, Quantum’s Director of Digital Product Development.
The pair of systems installed at the Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group sites were both single-detector Quantum DR system configurations; a Q-Rad PQ and a QV800 DR Universal System.
“Having TechVision integrated into an imaging center’s DR system is just another incremental productivity gain in the digital workflow,” Miller noted. “They have more time to devote to the patient’s care and are also able to move more patients through the examination room.” The Quantum dealer that facilitated the sale and installation of the equipment was Star Imaging of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

July 24, 2006: Quantum Medical Imaging Helps Orthopedic & Sports Institute Of The Fox Valley Go Digital
(Long Island – July 24, 2006) Quantum Medical Imaging is proud to announce that it has recently completed a large installation of two Digital Radiography systems for Orthopedic & Sports Institute of The Fox Valley, located in
Appleton, Wisconsin.
The facility was conceived and developed by three independent Orthopedic practices and is designed as a state of the art, free standing orthopedic surgery center. It includes an MR, day surgery suites, physical therapy and two
Quantum Digital radiography rooms.
“When it came to outfitting their DR rooms, noted Jeff Sauer, Regional Sales Manager for Quantum, “the Institute
chose two Quantum Medical Q-Rad “DQ” Digital Imaging systems, with Dual Canon 50G portable DR panels. They
needed a system which would be flexible enough for all orthopedic examinations, including off-table imaging ability,
in order to meet the needs of their patients.”
Having the 50G portable DR panels increases the flexibility of the systems, allowing technologists to take more
difficult cross-table and on-table exams, without a great deal of repositioning of the patient. This increases patient
throughput and the number of exams that can be taken. Currently, the Institute performs X-ray exams on anywhere
from 50 to 200 patients a day. These rooms are designed to meet that high demand and even increase it.
The deal was sold and installed by Northern X-Ray Corp (NXC), which is one of Quantum’s top “GoldStar” dealers
within the USA.
